The University Women’s Club of Toronto is committed to making a difference. We can’t do it alone, and gratefully accept donations from members and the community.
MONETARY DONATIONS
Our UWC (Toronto) Foundation is a registered charity which awards scholarships to students leaving high school and wishing to pursue university studies. The Foundation is managed by a board composed of UWC Toronto members. In 2023 the UWC (Toronto) Foundation awarded scholarships of $6000 each to nine deserving young women from central Toronto high schools.
The Foundation relies on donations to continue these generous education awards. The University Women’s Club annually gives $50,000 to the Foundation. Our own members donate an average of $25,000 annually. And we gratefully welcome other monetary donations from corporations and individuals.
All donations will receive a charitable donation tax receipt. Donations may be made by e-transfer to foundation@uwctoronto.ca For any questions please contact the club by email - info@uwctoronto.ca.

HOUSEHOLD GOODS Donation drive
Every spring and fall we run a clothing and household goods donation drive to support an organization in our community.

BOOK CLUBS FOR INMATES
In May 2018, Carol Finlay, founder of Book Clubs for Inmates, made an appeal to UWC for books for the Grand Valley Institution for Women, a prison in Kitchener Ontario. Our members willingly responded and made generous donations, enough to overload the trunk of her SUV.
